I’ve witnessed plenty of interesting Political dances between a President and Vice President; some awkward like Eisenhower and Nixon, some clearly a marriage made in hell and never consummated. Kennedy/Johnson come to mind. Several were not natural allies but whose divergent strengths worked out for the county’s good, such as Obama and Biden, Trump and Pence—my favorite in this category being Reagan and Bush Sr. There is a magic when their is mutual respect and not just political necessity. That Reagan and Bush developed. There’s the occasional duo that made it feel more like a partnership, Clinton—Gore and Bush Jr—Cheney among them.
To be a successful administration, one of the two need to make the message of the administration clear and earthy, the other free to ride above the political war, serving only the country’s agenda. Nixon and Spiro pulled that off well. Obama and Biden managed it as did Bush and Cheney, their contrasting styles selling the White House narrative in differing but effective ways.
Biden and Harris are in trouble. One does not yet get the sense of a political partnership nuancing one another through the myriad of political booby traps laid out, ready to snap. 18 months in, their failure is painfully obvious. Biden can’t seem to put two or three sentences together and Harris has some difficulty finding the end of any sentence she starts.
Biden reminds me of a boxer shadow boxing himself, always playing defense, trying to wear out his opponents by the sheer weight of indefensible policies—like taxing your way out of a recession while pouring retail money at an economy already inflated by too much money chasing too few goods and services. The solution is so obvious: Allow the fed to tighten the money supply while removing regulatory burdens and cutting taxes for companies that produce goods and services, thus getting money back into the private economy. So far the obvious solution seems a reach too far, unless the Fed, doing its half, can dance without a partner and still manage a soft landing.
The American people are way ahead of both parties wanting neither the chaotic administrations of a President, competent, but at war with friend and foe alike or our current duo telling us that every bad outcome is actually good and then taking credit for the good that no one sees; blinded by the light.
Fortunately the world at least is at peace. Not! Time for church. Bye.

PS: The truth is, the real solution is found in a cultural renewal of faith and devotion to God, who is good. I so regret my own sin and failures in this regard.
