We Christ followers must seem very confusing.
God is Three Persons in a Union of Mystery & Love so present, so compelling as to Be One in essence. Yeah. that's helpful. Okay, try this:
God acts always from within Love, relatedness; The Trinity of God who is completed only in this mutuality of shared experience. If we. Created in God's Divine image turn away, living separately, we will inevitably self destruct. There is no reality, breathing space apart, only together. K, I get it. Love works until it doesn't. No confusion there.
So we come to Christmas. The Story of God's coming, breaking in and yet--wait for it--God's coming to welcome all home. Well. At least those who will enter in.
Glad we cleared that all up. Perhaps the best thing is to let The Story tell itself
